Color Magic ~ Barbie doll reproduction
In 1966, Color Magic Barbie doll came on the scene, and turned heads everywhere! Two versions of the doll were sold - each with hair that could "magically" turn shades with a special changing solution. Barbie doll's blone hair transformed to scarlet flame, and the midnight hair switched to ruby red. The fun continued with her diamond print swimsuit that could also change colors with the wonderful solution. It took two full years of research by a chemical engineer to develop this incredible doll. Now, this favorite vintage doll returns in a wonderful re-creation. Dressed in a reproduction of the original multi-colored, diamond print seimsuit, the doll has straight black hair, pulled back with a headband. Bloom Bursts - a reproduction Barbie fashion from 1967 - includes a shantung floral print dress and pink organza bonnet. Dramatic red lipstick, painted finger and townails, and lovely side-glancing eyes define the vintage-inspried face. Accessories include hair net, four colorful hair ribbons, and four hair clips. Faux sponge applicator and faux color change "packets" capture the retro charm. Finally, a replica of the original instruction booklet adds to the wonderful, authentic feel. Unlike the original Color Magin Barbie produced in 1996, this Limited Edition reproduction doll does not have a color change function!
